Hyperbaric oxygen therapy Treatment that I received from Aafiya Rehab is amazing and effective. My allergies to starchy fruits and vegetables after the Covid 19 vaccinations make my life difficult as I need to see doctors for allergies and seek regular use of various anti histamines to relieve itching. At certain times, my face was itchy and getting worse that need to Itch Relief Moisturing Lotion to minimise the itchiness. Thanks god, Alhamdullilah this is now history after getting 20 hours of HBOT treatment. I don’t take anti-histamine anymore now and carry on back with eating starchy fruits like papaya and any starchy raw vegetables. Aafiya Rehab gave fantastic client service rated as 5 star and highly recommended as lhealthcare provider.

Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) Section:

1) What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)?

Answer: HBOT is a medical treatment that involves breathing 100% pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. It is used to enhance the body's natural healing processes and promote wound healing, including diabetic foot ulcers.

2) How does HBOT work for diabetic foot ulcers?

Answer: HBOT increases the concentration of oxygen in the blood and tissues, which helps improve blood flow to the affected area. This enhanced oxygen delivery promotes tissue repair, fights infection, and supports overall wound healing.

3) Who is a candidate for HBOT for diabetic foot ulcers?

Answer: Individuals with diabetic foot ulcers that are slow to heal, at risk of amputation, or have not responded to standard wound care treatments may be candidates for HBOT. However, each patient's eligibility is determined by a healthcare provider.

4) Is HBOT safe for diabetic foot ulcer patients?

Answer: When administered by trained medical professionals, HBOT is generally considered safe. The treatment is well-tolerated by most patients. However, it may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions. Safety assessments are conducted before starting HBOT.

5) What can I expect during an HBOT session?

Answer: During an HBOT session, you will enter a pressurized chamber and breathe pure oxygen through a mask or hood. The session typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes. Patients often use this time to relax, read, or listen to music.

6) How many HBOT sessions are needed for diabetic foot ulcers?

Answer: The number of sessions varies depending on the severity of the ulcer and the patient's response to treatment. Some patients may require daily sessions for several weeks, while others may need fewer sessions. The treatment plan is determined by the healthcare provider.

7) Are there any side effects of HBOT?

Answer: Side effects are generally mild and may include ear discomfort, sinus congestion, or changes in vision. These side effects are usually temporary and resolve after the session ends.

8) Will HBOT guarantee complete healing of my diabetic foot ulcer?

Answer: While HBOT can significantly improve the chances of healing diabetic foot ulcers, it may not guarantee complete healing in all cases. Success depends on various factors, including the ulcer's severity, the patient's overall health, and adherence to the treatment plan.

9) Can I combine HBOT with other diabetic foot ulcer treatments?

Answer: Yes, HBOT can be used in combination with other wound care treatments, such as debridement, offloading, and antibiotics. Your healthcare provider will create a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your needs.

10) Is HBOT covered by insurance for diabetic foot ulcers?

Answer: Coverage varies depending on the insurance provider and policy. Some insurance plans may cover HBOT for diabetic foot ulcers when it is deemed medically necessary. It is essential to check with your insurance provider and healthcare team to determine coverage eligibility.

Patients considering HBOT for diabetic foot ulcers should consult with their healthcare provider to assess their individual needs, eligibility, and treatment options.
